Eligible Organizations

Not-for-profit organizations (either singly or as a consortium), government agencies, academic and research institutions located within the Luverne Community areas (Rock County) are among the organizations eligible to request support from the Luverne Area Community Foundation.

Area of Interest

Each year, the Luverne Area Community Foundation invites applications that will enhance the quality of life in the following areas:
  • Arts & Humanities
  • Community & Civic Affairs
  • Social & Economic Growth
  • Environment
  • Youth
  • Health & Wellness

Ineligible Projects 

The Luverne Area Community Foundation does not approve grants to support the following:
  • Annual appeals or membership drives
  • Religious organizations for religious purposes
  • Travel for individuals or groups (if that were the primary focus)
  • Lobbying activities

Application Requirements

Projects should address the needs outlined in the Area of Interest.
Successful applicants will present:
  • A clear defined issue of community need.
  • A detailed plan to help solve the problem.
  • Collaboration among relevant organizations.
  • Creative utilization of existing community resources.
  • A strong evaluation component.
